Prayer

We pray for those who make the decision to end their life and those who are affected by that decision. Sometimes others deny these prayers to those who have committed suicide, believing that they are condemned to hell. We, however, respond to the Church's request in the Catechism (#2283) to pray for them, as we do not know their heart or how God may have intervened.

We have two main places online where we pray for those who commit suicide, those who are contemplating suicide, and for those who are affected (family, friends, community members, etc.):

  • Facebook PAGE. We post articles or information on people who end their life so we can pray for them, as well as relevant resources, articles, and information.
  • Facebook GROUP. This is a group for the people who are praying to get together and share among themselves the information on those who end their lives so they can pray, as well as the relevant resources, articles, and information.
